Introduction

Well, here's the first post. I want to thank Bad-Mojo for giving me the idea to post this stuff into a blog so that everyone could feel more secure in the fact that they're not the most stupid person on the planet. I've put up with a lot of the stuff you'll be reading here for about a year already, so a lot of utter ignorance has already been missed. First a little background.
I worked with this guy a couple of years ago, for about 6 months. I never paid that much attention to him then, but he was quiet enough. There came a point in time that I really needed help with the bills, and he happened to be around the old workplace when I mentioned that I might have to get a roommate. The rest as they say, is history. At least it'll be historically recorded here...
**Edit** I was also regaled with stories of his significant intelligence for the first month or so of his stay here. Both his own accounts, and how others had exclaimed his brilliance. You also have to understand that each and every sentance is peppered with "ya know"s, "anyway"s and "how can I say this"s. ie - "I was, ya know, walkin through the mall. Anyway, I was walkin through the, ya know, mall, and there was this.... how can I say this.. Anyway, there was this lady, ya know, and she was, well I don't remember what she was, ya know, doin, but anyway, I didn't like it."

I'll refer to the roommate as "IR" throughout this blog. (IR=Idiot Roommate)

Thought I'd add a few thoughts for anyone who's just looking over all this stuff. If you go back through the archives, specifically from the beginning of the IRB, you'll see my writing style changing and evolving into what it is today.
So, please excuse my earliest (and lamest) attempts at blogging, and keep an open mind throughout this journey that the views and opinions expressed herein are mine and only represent one side of the story. IR isn't a bad guy, it's just his mannerisms and seemingly thoughtless commentary are better served in small doses, spread out over a long period of time.

Edit 10/5/2008

Enough time has passed, and with the advent of the new Idiot Coworker Blog I thought I'd bring this one back to show all the new readers that this is the second time I've had to go through this. This blog will very likely be shorter than the original as I don't think IC will be around for that long, but I'll try to make it entertaining while it lasts.
Thanks for reading!!
